UDHAMPUR, May 4: Locals of village Kandi Degar Panchayat Palnu, Majalta here today staged a protest demonstration against PHE Department for poor supply of drinking water.
The protesters claimed that PHE Department does not supply drinking water properly and the locals are forced to consume the muddy water from natural sources.
They informed that children and elders are falling sick after consuming the unhygienic water of natural sources.
“Many times we complained the higher authorities of Jal Shakti (PHE) Department in this regard but all in vain,” the protesters maintained making an appeal to the LG of J&K to look into the matter.
