Protest against those ‘playing politics’ on NPR

JAMMU, Dec 26: Activists of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena here today under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta organized a protest rally against the playing of politics by certain parties on the National Population Register (NPR) issue.
Speaking on the occasion Gupta said, while census is held after every 10 years and NPR was started by the UPA Government and the present Government is only carrying it forward as it is a ‘good exercise’.
“NPR is register of population and NRC is register of citizens. There is no link between the two and the two have different process,” he maintained.
Gupta flayed Asaduddin Owaisi and Arundhati Roy for misguiding the people against NPR.
He also said that Arundhati should be ashamed of herself as her statements are betrayal with the nation.
Prominent among the protesters were Prem, Bantu, Surjeet, Vijay, Karnal, Parshotam, Labbha, Sohan, Devraj, Kalu, Shivdev, Abhishek and others.
