Protest at Rambagh against R&B

SRINAGAR, July 4: Scores of residents and shopkeepers of Rambagh and Natipora staged protests against the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department and Government for their failure to repair the road from last few years.
The angry protesters managed razor wire from security forces, which they used for blocking the road leading to Chadoora, Char-e-Sharif, Natipora, Nowgam and Railway Station.
The protesters said that due to the blowing of huge dust from the dilapidated road from Rambagh crossing to Nowgam there are the apprehensions’ that chest disease will break out in the area.
The protesters shouted slogans against the local MLA and Government.
Finally, the protesters dispersed and allowed the traffic to ply on roads after assurance from concerned police officers.
