Protest demonstration enters 16th day at JU

JAMMU, Dec 28: The protest demonstration in the Jammu University continued for 16th consecutive day in support of their long pending issues of the Executive body of Non Teaching Employees of the University of Jammu. The Executive Body apprised the Non Teaching Fraternity about the meeting with the authorities which remained inconclusive.
Later the Executive Body of JUNTEU informed that on their directions, similar protest demonstration was also held in the offsite campuses of the University of Jammu.
During the demonstration the  employees under the banner of Jammu University Non Teaching Employees Union raised slogans  for fulfillment of their demands. Speakers on the occasion while reiterating their demands also highlighted many other issues which are the pre-requisition for better working conditions in the University of Jammu.
They alleged that the dilly dallying attitude of the University authorities forced the Non Teaching Employees to follow the agitation path which is neither in the interest of Employee nor in the interest of the University.
The Non Teaching Employees took out a protest march of the University of Jammu and completed in front of VC office amidst slogans.
The executive body appealed the Vice Chancellor to consider their demands as early as possible to avoid further extension of protest demonstration.

Meanwhile, the meeting of the Advisory Committee was convened in the office of Union to decide about the next course of action with the authorities.
Those who spoke during the demonstration included Pawan Singh , Ashwani Bakshi, Sham Sharma, Vikas Langer, Sanjeev Chadha, Abhinav Sharma.  Padam Shri Padamani, Niranjan Singh Charak, Joginder Singh Chib,  Kewal Kumar, Sunita Amla, Jarnail Singh, Jasjeet Singh and Raghubir Singh Bandral.
