JAMMU, May 24: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest here at New Plot on Janipur-High Court road against the Central Government for its failure to control rising prices of petrol, diesel and LPG gas.
Raising slogans against the Modi Government, the protesting JWAM activists said that the prices of the petrol, diesel and LPG gas have gone beyond the reach of the common man as their prices have reached all time high and Central Government is not taking any step to check the same.
Addressing the protesters, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple said the unprecedented price rise in petrol and diesel prices has badly broken the back bone of the people of the country and the way the prices of these two fuels are rising, the day is not far when petrol and diesel prices will reach Rs 100 per litre. He demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring petrol, diesel and LPG gas under the GST so that people of the country may take a sigh of relief.
