Srinagar, Dec 17 : The students of Islamia College of Science and Commerce, today protested to express their solidarity with the students of Jamia Milla University Delhi and Aligarh Muslim University.
Dozens of students assembled inside the College campus in old city area of Hawal in the morning. As they tried to march outside, police swung into action and fired tear gas to disperse them.
A group of journalists were allegedly roughed up by the police during the clashes.
“We were just trying to take videos of some of the boys who we thought were detained by the police. That’s why the police thrashed us and confiscated my phone”, said a journalist.
