RAJOURI, Aug 17: The people from village Manyal near Thanna Mandi today held strong protest against the Rajouri Hospital Administration for the death of a local girl due to alleged negligence of staff there.
The angry relatives of the deceased woman and villagers raised loud slogans against the District Administration Rajouri, doctors and para medical staff of District Hospital Rajouri for sheer negligence, because of which an 18-Year old girl hailing from village Manyal died on Saturday. They alleged that there were several deaths in Rajouri hospital during past one month but the District Administration has shut its eyes towards the issue.
The villagers led by Hafaz Ishaq, Shamsheer Alam and Touseef Khan during protest at Thanna Mandi lambasted the authorities at DH Rajouri for their negligence and casual approach because of which a young girl lost her life on August 15. They alleged that no doctor attended the patient and she ultimately died.
It is pertinent to mention that several deaths are regularly being reported in DH Rajouri because of negligent attitude of hospital administration and concerned staff. Moreover, the agitating public after meeting Tehsildar Thanna Mandi Mehmood Rayaz Khan, have submitted their greviences and have appealed the administration as well as LG, Manoj Sinha for an independent enquiry so as to ascertain the facts that led to several deaths in DH Rajouri.
Tehsildar assured the agitating public that he will take up the matter with higher authorities at the earliest and will try his level best in providing them justice
