NOWSHERA, Sept 17: The family members, relatives and villagers held protest against the Principal and a lecturer of Govt Higher Secondary School Chingus for allegedly beating 11th class student and damaging his eye.
The protesting relatives alleged that contractual lecturer Rahil Parvez beaten up Gurdeep Singh, son of Hazara Singh of Narian. Gurdeep had gone to Rajpur Bhata where his sister washed away in floods along with bus. He remained absent from school for couple of days. The lecturer beaten up him severely for being absent. The body suffered injury in his eye and was shifted to hospital at Nowshera. Later, doctors referred him to Eye Unit of GMC Jammu.
The lecturer escaped when the relatives of the boys reached school. SDM assured the agitating relatives that action will be taken against the lecturer. Principal Ashok Sharma said that he has written to the CEO for disengaging this lecturer.
