Protest against LPG shortage

Excelsior Correspondent
MENDHAR, Jan 2: Local consumers held strong protest demonstration against shortage of LPG cylinders in the town.
The consumers who had gathered to collect refill at the local Bharat Gas agency were told that there was no gas in the store and the truck had yet to come from Jammu with cylinders. Upon this the consumers who were waiting since morning in long queues started protest demonstration. They alleged that there was acute shortage of LPG and the administration is least bothered.
They also alleged that due to black-marketing of domestic gas cylinders to Dhabas, tea-stalls etc the shortage has been self created by the agency holders.  They sought the intervention of  SDM and SDPO as the concerned CAPD authorities are least bothered to keep check on black-marketing. They also demanded action against those indulging in black-marketing. Later, they met the SDM Mendhar Romnesh Kumar who directed the concerned officials to take cognizance of the matter.
