Protest of package employees enters 146th day

JAMMU, Oct 7: The protest of Kashmiri Pandit (KP) package employees here today entered day 146 demanding relocation outside Kashmir valley.
These employees today staged protest demonstration under the banner of All Migrants (Displaced) Employees Association Kashmir in the office premises of Relief Commissioner Migrant Jammu.
The protesting employees claimed that they cannot live and perform their duties under perpetual fear and panic in Kashmir as the ground situation is not conducive for their living and working in Kashmir.
They urged upon the LG administration that they should not be forced to resume duties back in Kashmir as situation there at present is not favourable for their living because of selective killings.
One of the protesters said that they should be attached to Relief Commissioners’ Migrant Office Jammu and their services be utilized at various migrant schools, relief counters etc.
They said that their protest will continue till their demand of relocation is not fulfilled by the Government.
