Protest against PDD held

JAMMU, May 10:  The workers of the Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of  Ashok Gupta took out a procession in Jammu city against non availability of light and water, here today.
The protesters, holding hand fans, electric fans, water pots and buckets in their hands,  alleged that Government has sent people back in cave man era. He added, “when the people are paying their charges for the electricity then why there is no electricity available to them in this scorching heat”.  Insulation on the transformers should be installed which can protect the transformer from the heat and the damage to the transformer can be saved, Gupta stated.
PDD has collected huge amount of funds from the people and at the time of collection of money giving assurance to the people of regular supply  of electricity, but still no concrete steps have been taken in this regard.
Holding the Chief Minister responsible for power crisis in Jammu region, Gupta said as Power Minister he failed to initiate action to improve the power supply in the State.
