UDHAMPUR, Oct 18: The local villagers from Ladana, Kalhothe, Dargani in tehsil Ramnagar held protest against PHE department for its failure to provide supply of water in the area for the last about one year.
During protest, the villagers alleged that PHE department has failed to ensure supply of water. The people are totally dependent on natural water source but this water is muddy and unhygienic for human consumption. They alleged that people are affected with the water borne diseases.
Thgey alleged that matter was brought to the notice of MLA, SDM and even the concerned PHE Sub Divisional officer at Ram Nagar but no action was taken till date. They alleged that water pipes were laid about two years ago but they were broken and the water supply was never ensured. They sought the intervention of State Governor.
