UDHAMPUR, Mar 31: The people from Udhampur today held protest against PHE authorities for water scarcity on Dhar Road here today.
The people blocked Dhar Road and held protest demonstration against the PHE Department. They were alleging water scarcity in the town. They demanded to solve the problem of drinking water immediately.
State president of Panthers Party Balwant Singh Mankotia (Ex-MLA) called PHE officials on the spot and asked them to solve the problem of water shortage within 15 days. Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia assured that if their grievances were not resolved within 15 days, then NPP will launch struggle.
Mankotia said that the people of Udhampur are facing the shortage of water and they have to do the protest for the basic infrastructure, this is really unfair in a democratic society.
