POONCH, Sept 29: The family members and relatives of a kidnapped girl from Mendhar area held protest and blocked road for some time today.
They were demanding that the girl be handed over to them. The police recovered the girl from Chandigarh area on Friday. They also arrested the alleged kidnapper. The police brought the girl from Chandigarh after about one month late last night. She was produced before the Magistrate at Mendhar today. The family members claimed that the girl was minor and she was lured by the youth.
The relatives and family members of the girl came out on Mendhar-Jammu Road and disrupted movement of traffic for some time. The police, however, handed over the girl to the family after the completion of legal formalities.
