The protestors raised slogans and later dispersed.  No violence was reported.
Meanwhile, members of a particular community observed shutdown to express solidarity with protesters in Kashmir.
”There was no violence or any untoward incident was reported from across the Bhaderwah town during the shutdown,” said a police officer.
He added that the bandh was completely peaceful while the protestors expressed resentment over civilian killings by the security forces in the Kashmir valley.
”Shops and business establishments and some private schools remained closed while Government schools and banks were functioning normally,” he added and said that traffic is plying as usual on the highway.
