JAMMU, Oct 4: The ongoing protest dharna by Female Multipurpose Health Workers Association entered into 39th day today in all Districts and Tehsil levels, including Sunderbani, Rajouri, Reasi, Banihal, Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Bani, Basholi, Padder and Kathua.
The Association today urged the Government to solve the grievances of protesting FMPHWs so that the ongoing MR vaccination could be properly handled by the trained staff. “It is very shameful that the Government of J&K is not serious to solve the just burning demands of the Association. We hope the Government will not further delay to solve the matter so that public may not suffer due to ongoing strike by FMPHWs,” the Association leaders said.
The protesting FMPHWs are demanding de-linking the CSS salary from the funding sources and release the pending salary since March 2018, DPC of FMPHW, fixing
job functions of FMPHWs like other working categories of Health Sector, up gradation for the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab Tech, X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech. and Ophth. Tech, creation of the post of LHVs in New PHCs, publishing seniority list of FMPHWs on the official website of the Health Department for bringing transparency in promotions, 50 percent quota in favor of trained LHVs at par with MMPHSs promoted as Health Educators, amendment of SRO20 dated 20-04-1992 and up gradation/revised grade pay of FMPHW cadre.
Those who addressed the protest dharna, included Neelam Kumari, Surya Akhter, Sapna Gupta, Mamta Devi, Sunita Devi, Jagjeet Kour, Nirmal Kour, Varinder Kour, Jagbir Kour, Manjeet Kour, Pooja Devi, Shashi Bala, Kamlesh, Jeevan Jyoti, Anchal Devi, Kamla Devi, Soma Devi, Pushpa Devi, Rani, Shaffket Hussain, Kamal Jit Sawhney, Ch Jarnail Singh, Madan Lal, Ch Subash and others.
