The dilapidated condition of the road, which is the main road leading to Shiv Khori Shrine and Reasi, is causing immense hardships to the commuters and pedestrians as the Government has not macadamize this road since years.
The protesting people held a strong demonstration and disrupted vehicular traffic as they blocked the road, much to the inconvenience of the commuters and Shiv Khori going pilgrims. The protesters were demanding macadamization of this road.
One of the protesters said that the road is in dilapidated condition, as a result of which people and local shopkeepers face lot of inconvenience. He alleged that R & B Department and administration were in deep slumber and ignoring this prime road.
The protesters claimed that several other roads were macadamized in the district but this main road was still in a very bad condition and dotted with huge potholes and bumps due to which commuters face tremendous inconvenience.
Later, officials from Police and PWD rushed to the spot and pacified the protesters, assuring that the road will be macadamized within one month.
