SRINAGAR, Feb 19: Despite official clarifications, there is no let up in protests against the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in Valley and today people held protests at Kangan and Khansahab areas of central Kashmir.
Dozens of residents at Kangan took to streets today amid a shutdown and staged a protest against the NFSA implementation. The protesters demanded roll back of the Act and said it is not in favour of people of Kashmir.
At Khansahab, the anti-NFSA protesters protested in novel way by beating the drums. The protesters said that they want to garner the attention of Authorities. The protest was also attended by several Panchayat members who also demanded rollback of the controversial Act.
