JAMMU, Dec 20: Terming the protests against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) part of an international conspiracy to create mistrust between Hindus and other communities across the country, Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SSDS) J&K today said those who instigated people to violence and protests against the Bill have been exposed before the masses.
Talking to reporters here, today, SSDS leaders including its president Bodh Raj Sharma, vice president Bodh Raj , general secretary, Parbhat Singh Jamwal and secretary Satpaul Rathore alleged that false rumours are being spread by misusing social media , fabricating false and concocted stories and making them viral on social media to instigate people to violence and create mistrust among the communities. They said these protests are not being held by the student community of India but anti national and anti social elements as same has been proved by security agencies by seizing 750 fake identity cards from the JNU campus, Delhi. This means that every thing has been pre-planned by the miscreants with the active support of disgruntled politicians, they added.
They said an Ex MLA of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have been arrested for inciting innocent people to participate in the protests which has exposed these parties to the hilt. Maintaining that people of the country have every right to protest peacefully, they said the violent protests can’t be tolerated by a civilized society.
The SSDS leaders said it is hurting that public property has been torched and damaged by hooligans and even school buses carrying children were burnt. Government buses, private cars, police escort vehicles, were also burnt by the violent mobs.
Bodh Raj Sharma president of the SSDS said even Railway properties worth crores of rupees have been damaged and railway passengers were put to lot of inconvenience. CAB is to provide citizenship rights to minorities who were harassed and persecuted in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who came to India for shelter and safety of their lives and women folk, he added.
He said CAB is not against any Indian citizen particularly Muslims as rumors are spread. Over 600 Muslims who were persecuted in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have also been given Indian citizenship , he added.
Criticising the Congress party for instigating Muslims on the pretext that their citizenship in India is in danger, Parbhat Singh general secretary of the SSDS said the party was playing with fire. He said this all is being done to break India which will not be allowed at any cost as entire nation is united under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. He warned the vested elements provoking people to loot, rioting, arson and vandalism saying that they will never succeed in their vicious designs.
He, while condemning the acts of violence urged the Centre to take stern action against the culprits.
