Provide 27 % reservation to OBCs: AIBCU

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Aug 31: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today organized an awareness programme regarding exploitation of OBCs and denial of 27 % quota to them, in Bishnah Tehsil today.
The awareness programme at village Laswara of Bishnah tehsil in district Jammu  focused on the importance of “Indian Constitution” which  does not differentiate the Indians on the basis of caste, creed religion, colour and sex.  India’s constitution is the best in the world which provides equality and liberty to all.
The speakers claimed that the then Prime Minister VP Singh granted 27 % reservation to OBCs  through the apex court’s judgment  of 1992 on Mandal report but that was not implemented by the J&K state rulers  with anti- OBC mind set on the pretext of Art 370  which was abrogated by the BJP Govt on August 5, 2019 by converting J&K into two UTs.
The BJP is exploiting the OBCs and is not providing their due share of quota.  The speakers  appealed the OBCs that  there is no other option for the OBCs, except to understand the importance of their vote right granted by the Constitution.
They stated that OBCs could not get their constitutional rights from the anti- OBC mind set of rulers because the OBCs never used and cast their votes for their constitutional rights but they gave votes to political parties which  snatched their rights in turn. Now, in future OBCs, SCs and STs would  cast their votes for their constitutional rights, for the rights of their children.
Prominent speakers included Rajinder Sikka, Kewal Krishan Fotra, Gurmeet Singh, Sain Dass, Dr Ajit Kumar and Prof Kali Dass.
