Provide accommodation to package employees: Apni Party

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, May 6:-Sanjay Dhar State co-ordinator Apni Party for Displaced Kashmiri Pandits appealed to LG J&K and Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) Jammu to take some tangible steps regarding the accommodation of PM package employees.
Dhar in a statement said that as per ground reports from these transit camps neither Central Government nor J&K administration have any serious plan or policy to accommodate these employees properly as promised earlier. The J&K Government had approved the 2BHK construction for PM package employees but due to unknown reasons they have restricted the construction of flats up to 1BHK instead of 2 BHK which is matter of concern . He also said that Government had kick started the construction of making flats for the PM package employees in the year 2015 but in six years only there are bricks and sand all around the site and incomplete towers and buildings and even employees living there are facing hardship on count of basic necessity of lives like water, electricity and sanitation.
Dhar appealed Lt. Governor to issue immediate directions to the concerned for accomplishing the construction work of quarters in a time bound period so that the hardships faced by package employees are addressed at the earliest as there is brewing a great resentment and disappointment among the community on this front.
