JAMMU, May 20: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh today directed the authorities of Revenue Department to provide clean administration to the people.
The direction was passed during an interaction meeting with all the 7 Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and 21 Tehsildars of Jammu district convened by the Deputy Commissioner to take appraisal of the activities going on in the district.
Stating that revenue authorities are the face of the administration in any district, Simrandeep Singh said, “people have lots of expectations from you especially with regard to timely disposal of their matters as such it is imperative on your part to come up to their expectations”.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the SDMs to meet the deadline of May 25 fixed for furnishing of details of rationees to the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department so as to ensure distribution of ration as per the census of 2011.
During the interaction, Tehsildars apprised the Deputy Commissioner about lack of infrastructure and facilities in the newly created administrative units. Mr Singh assured to personally take stock of the situation on ground and take up the matter with the higher authorities so that steps are initiated to ensure smooth functioning of new administrative units.
