JAMMU, Mar 1: Retired, socio-religious, women and youth wings of Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) today urged upon the Modi led BJP Government and JK UT Administration to implement all Constitutional rights of SCs, STs, OBCs as promised while abrogating Article 370 in 2019.
In a joint press conference members of the Alliance said that LG’s Government in JKUT promised implementation of all the provisions of Indian constitution in JKUT after abrogation of Article 370 but practically nothing of the sort is seen on the ground, The reserved categories see this as another betrayal on the part of BJP whom they voted blindly and they apprehend that Constitutional rights of SCs/STs/ OBCs which are slowly and steadily being finished in whole of the country.
They alleged that BJP has started using some ‘so called’ political leaders of SC/ST communities as their pimps to spread false narratives to lure innocent SC/ST masses. Recently, the all India SC Morcha BJP president put forth all false narratives in media to attract SC community towards BJP. JKRCEA leaders warned all the Central and JKUT SC Morcha leaders of BJP to stop betraying masses. They should instead pressurize BJP leadership and get all the Constitutional rights safeguarded in J&K immediately, as almost seven years have passed since SC/ST/OBCs are believing the slogans of BJP leadership.
They opposed Chief Secretary directives regarding GAD Circular order dated June 21, 2016 and claimed it is in sharp defiance of Presidential Order of 1st March 2019 wherein Article 16 (4)A stands expended to JK UT as well as J&K Reorganization Act 2019, regarding reservation in promotions.
Prof GL Thapa, working president of JKRCEA said that the SC/ST/OBCs are being ignored by BJP in all spheres of Governance. On one hand JKUT bureaucracy headed by Chief Secretary and fully supported by the Law Secretary have created total confusion in the matter of reservation in promotions and on the other hand the BJP government has totally abolished SC/ST Component Plans from the National and State Budgets.
Mohinder Bhagat, ML Banalia, Prof Kali Dass, Abdul Majid Malik, Bodh Raj Bhagat, RC Bhasin and MR Bangotra also spoke on the occasion.
