JAMMU, May 15: All J&K PoJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum has demanded release of Rs 30 lakh package in favour of displaced persons from Pak occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
In a meeting of the Forum through video conferencing which was chaired by Amrik Singh of its president, and joined by Surjit Singh general secretary and some other members, the speakers lauded the initiative of the Prime Minister for providing massive economic package worth Rs 20 lakh crore for the country. They said the special economic package will have good impact on land, labourer liquidity of the weaker section of the society.
The Forum further appealed to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to also include PoJK displaced persons under this package because they too fall under the same category. The members elaborated that since their comprehensive packaging of Rs 30 lakh per family is already recommended by the erstwhile State Govt to the MHA and out of which a sum of Rs 5.50 lakhs already got released in our favour and remaining Rs 24.50 lakhs is still awaited. The Government must ensure total package of Rs 30 lakhs to the DPs of PoJK, they maintained.
The Forum expressed its hope that under the Prime Minisrtership of Modi Ji our pending amount of package may be released at the earliest possible times.
