Providing better facilities to people basic agenda of Govt: Jasrotia

KATHUA, Sept 3: Ensuring better facilities to the people in every nook and corner of the State is the fundamental agenda of the Government, said BJP MLA from Kathua constituency, Rajiv Jasrotia today while inaugurating various developmental works here today.
The works included Sulab Sochaley near DC office, Dream Land Park, District Court office, one incomplete work near Sabji Mandi Kathua, inauguration of lane and central drain and adjoining lane at Patel Nagar Kathua at the cost of 45 lakh. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include district president Prem Nath Dogra , city president Vidya Sagar, Kandi Mandal president Kulwant Singh, district. general Secretary, Ramesh Gupta, Jagdish Poonia, CEO Municipal Kathua, KK Chalotra and DC Kathua and all BJP workers. Accompanied by local residents and political activists of the area, Jasrotia started the works in the presence of a large number of people.
He maintained that the works of roads which were left pending due to change in weather conditions have been started and it will be seen that these works are completed in a stipulated period time in order to provide best quality of roads to the public. MLA said that Coalition Government commitment to provide road connectivity to every nook and corner of the State, besides providing basic amenities to the people of the State at their doorsteps has now become true with the sincere efforts of the Government.
Jasrotia said that an effective monitoring mechanism has been put in place to enforce accountability and transparency in the implementation of developmental schemes. He also underlined the need for public involvement in the developmental activities and said that without their cooperation the objective of the government of taking State’s development tempo to new highs cannot be achieved.
He said that the Union government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been providing liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities.
Addressing a public rally on the occasion, MLA called himself as a public servant whose doors are open round-the clock for the people. He said if any person has any problem, he can approach him directly, adding that governance at the doorstep is the new mantra of running Government in the State.
