PRP delegation calls on DyCM

SRINAGAR, Mar 8:  A delegation of PRP leaders led by Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh here, today and discussed the prevailing situation in the State in general and Kashmir Valley in particular with him.
The other members of the delegation included Ghulam Mohammed War, Abdul Razak Dar and Mushtaq Ahmed.
The delegation assured full cooperation to present Government in mitigating the sufferings of the people of the State and undoing the wrong policies of previous government which had led to the alienation of masses especially in Kashmir Valley.
They informed Dr Singh that PRP will fully cooperate with government in restoring total normalcy and rule of the law in the State and ending the alienation of the masses provided government works sincerely towards the same.
They sought immediate relief for flood victims of the State and traders and demanded that urgent attention be paid to power sector in putting it back on rails and boosting generation.
Mir Informed Dr Singh that work on 100 MW Ganderbal Power Project is going on snails pace and that needs to be expedited. Besides, he stressed on construction of more power projects in the State to boost generation of power as well as State’s economy.
He also demanded that the work on Dab Vakura Receiving Station be started immediately and power lines and poles which have become outdated be replaced.
