PRP delegation calls on HM, other ministers

JAMMU, Apr 12: People’s Republican Party (PRP) has urged both State and Central governments to take effective measures in rehabilitation of last year flood victims and the people who were uprooted during recent floods and land slides in different parts of the State.
The PRP leaders who visited Union capital and submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP national president, Amit Shah, Union Health Minister, J P Nadda, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, MoS in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh and other leaders informed them of the sufferings of the people hit by flash floods last year and heavy rains and landslide recently in the State.
They demanded immediate release of compensation and rehabilitation of these people. This was said by PRP spokesperson Mir Ghulam Rasool here today.
He said the delegation also met Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh at Jammu today and BJP spokesperson, Sunil Sethi. It apprised them of various issues confronting the people in the State, he added.
Mir said the security issue of PRP leaders also came for discussion and the Government was urged to provide security for the party leaders who are working for the restoration of total peace and normalcy in the State so that people can get rid of the 26 year long turmoil which brought the State on the path of devastation and destruction.
Mir said PRP has offered full cooperation to the Government in case it solves the basic problems of the people, eradicates corruption, brings prices under control, establishes rule of the law in the State and provides justice to deserving people and takes effective steps in solving unemployment problem and power crisis.
The PRP delegation included its chairman advocate G M Tramboo, Mir Ghulam Rasool spokesperson, Ghulam Mohammed War, president Baramulla district, Ghulam Mohammed Hamdard, president Budgam district, B A Malik district president Pulwama and Sheikh Mohammed Maqbool member executive.
