SRINAGAR, Oct 27: People’s Republican Party (PRP) has urged the Government to issue directives to Revenue and PWD Departments to assess the losses of the people in the State caused due to yesterday’s earthquake.
The PRP which held a meeting here, today under the chairmanship of its president Mir Ghulam Rasool said that houses in various parts of the State have developed cracks and people have also suffered loss of their properties.
He demanded that Government should immediately constitute the teams of Revenue and PWD Departments to assess the losses in the State and also pay ex-gratia to affected people.
