PRP’s plea to Finance Minister

SRINAGAR, Nov 19: Peoples Republican Party (PRP) in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Mir Ghulam Rasool its president has made an appeal to J&K Bank authorities to give some time in recovering the loans from traders and transporters of Valley who suffered a heavy loss due to ongoing strike and were not in a position to pay the installments to banks for the loans sought by them.
The meeting expressed concern over the notices served to the people who have taken loan from the banks and alleged that these traders and transporters are being harassed for no fault of theirs.
They urged the Government especially the Finance Minister to take the cognizance of the matter and give breathing time to traders and transporters who are in a great desperation since 2014 when their entire business was hit by flash floods.
The meeting also expressed concern over the charging of half of bus fare from students for the months of strike when the schools were totally closed by the management of various private schools from the students. It also urged the Government to look into the matter also and relieve the parents of the students from unnecessary harassment.
