PSA delegation calls on DSE

JAMMU, Jan 15: A delegation of the J&K Private Schools Association (JJKPSA), Jammu, led by president Ajay Gupta, met Director School Education (DSE) Jammu, Ashok Kumar Sharma, to discuss pressing issues faced by private schools and students in the winter zone.
Ajay Gupta expressed concerns about the reversal of the uniform academic calendar introduced by the L-G administration in 2022, which aligned the session from March but has now reverted to the traditional November-December session for the Kashmir province and winter zone of Jammu province.
He said this change has created difficulties for students migrating from private schools in the winter zone to summer zone schools in Jammu, as many CEOs and ZEOs in the winter zone are hesitant to countersign or authenticate the results of private schools with lapsed recognition or pending files due to delays in implementing PSGA 2021.
The delegation comprising Sanjeev Luthra, Siddherswar Sadotra, Chain Singh and Gaurav Charak demanded a provision to facilitate the smooth transfer of students from classes 1 to 9, ensuring hassle-free authentication of results by the authorities.
The Director assured the delegation that steps would be taken to address the issues and protect the careers of the students.
