JAMMU, Oct 30: A deputation of more than 80 private schools along with the executive members of central body of J&K Private Schools’ Association (PSA) met Rakesh Kumar Srangal, Director School Education (DSE) Jammu and urged him to adopt the same criteria for recognition/permission to private schools up to class 8th as is for schools up to classes 10th and 12th.
The deputation said that though managements of the most of the private middle schools functioning in Jammu and its adjoining areas have submitted files after fulfilling all norms and conditions but till date these schools are deprived of recognition/permission/extension and above all names of all such schools have been dropped from the list.
The members of the deputation urged the Director School Education to adopt the same criteria for recognition/permission/extension of middle schools as has been adopted for the schools functioning up to classes 10th and 12th.
The Director listened to the members patiently and promised to mitigate grievances of the middle schools whose cases for the recognition/permission/extension are pending, on November 1, when a meeting in this connection is scheduled to held.
Moreover, the DSE advised all the private schools to adhere to the orders/circular issued by the State Government time to time so that there should be no hue & cry among the masses.
Ajay Gupta (general secretary, J&K PSA), Sanjeev Luthra, Raj Dev Singh, Ashwani Khajuria, Ajay Singh Kotwal, Laddi Sharma, KK Khajuria, Tajinder Singh, Vijay Uppal, Haqumat Singh, Allah Rakha Khan, Vijay Gupta, Agya Kour, Jatinder Heera, Ramesh Gupta, Ram Kumar, Rajesh Magotra, Vikram and Rakesh Tandan were part of the deputation.
