Jammu, June 8, 2017: A deputation of Private Schools Association called on Joint Director School Education Jammu, Charandeep Singh and submitted him a memorandum resenting the Codal formalities listed for recognition / permission of schools upto class 8th.
The Association explained that the circular no.DSEJ/Pvt/9438-48 dated 17/05/17 is contempt of the dictum given by the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Association said that the majority of schools functioning up to class 8th were deprived of recognition till date on one pretext or the other whereas schools functioning up to 10th & 12th standard have been granted affiliation cum recognition for five years with less formality as demanded for the recognition of class 8th schools.
The PSA demanded recognition / permission or general order in favour of all private schools functioning up to class 8th so that such schools can submit RR for the students reading in class 8th without delay.
The Jt. Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to look into their demand.
