JAMMU, June 23: District Magistrate (DM) Jammu slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) on a hardcore criminal and sent him to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal.
As per police sources, a hardcore criminal namely Babber Choudhary alias Babber, son of Sayed Ali, a resident of Chack Mohammad Yaar, RS Pura involved in various cases was today sent to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal under Public Safety Act (PSA) by District Magistrate (DM) Jammu.
The accused was involved in cases registered under FIR numbers 33/11, 81/11, 231/12, 41/13 and 15/14 with police station RS Pura. Cases under FIR numbers 1/13 and 11/12 also stands registered against the accused at Channi Himmat police station, they said, adding that FIR numbers 124/12, 58/13 and 3/13 stands registered against the accused at Satwari police station. FIR number 9/14 also stands registered against him at Miran Sahib police station and was involved in FIR numbers 120/14, 305/13 and 268/11 registered with police station Gandhi Nagar.
All the proceedings have been conducted by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Manzoor Ahmed Kohli under the supervision of SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Atul Goel.
It is to mention that, Gandhi Nagar police had foiled the murder bid by arresting this notorious criminal Babber Choudhary along with sharp-edged weapon ‘Khokri’ near cremation ground in Shastri Nagar on June 14.
