KISHTWAR, Nov 8: District Magistrate (DM) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan here today slapped PSA on five hardcore criminals.

The criminals booked under the provision of J&K Public Safety Act (PSA) 1978, include-Mohd Abdullah Gujjar, son of Haji Nabi Baksh Gujjar, resident of Sigdi Bhata; Noor Din, son of Habib Gujjar, resident of Kakerwagan; Ghulam Nabi Choppan, son of Abdul Aziz Chopan, resident of Trungi (Dachhan); Mohd Jaffer Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohd Sheikh, resident of Nattas (Dool) and Mohd Ramzan, son of Mir Zaman, resident of Dangduroo (Dachhan).
All these criminals were having anti-national and anti-social records and they were not desisting from their illegal acts.
There was every apprehension that they may disturb public order and may threaten the security of the UT. The arrest warrants were issued directing the SSP for execution.
As soon as the warrants were received, the police took these criminals under its custody.
As per sources, the DM has asked agencies to keep at least 22 other persons on radar for their continuous attempts to stop the projects of national importance on one or the other pretext to further a deep rooted conspiracy and nexus to sabotage national interest.
They try to disturb the public order by false propaganda and keep an anti-national attitude to slow the pace of mega projects.
