JAMMU, Apr 5: District Magistrate (DM) slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) on a hardcore criminal, here today.
As per police sources, DM Jammu slapped PSA on a hardcore criminal, who has been identified as Narinder Kumar alias Tachii, son of Sat Pal, a resident of Ward Number 8, tehsil RS Pura.
The accused was involved in 4 cases registered under FIR Numbers 108/16, 108/17, 149/17 and 240/17 with Police Station RS Pura. He was also involved in a case registered under FIR Number 43/18 with Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
Since the said accused was involved in the attempt to murder case and smuggling of drugs/contraband substances and sale of these among the youth of the area, his presence in society was quite dangerous.
Keeping into consideration the above facts, the dossier was prepared and submitted to DM Jammu through proper channel.
On this DM Jammu granted orders regarding detention of criminal under PSA.
The PSA warrant has been executed after making hectic/sincere efforts and the criminal has been lodged at Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The PSA warrant was executed by a police party headed by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
