PSC Lecturers’ Association organizes one day convention

JAMMU, June 9: A day long convention organised by Plus 2 PSC Lecturers’ Association was held here today. The convention was attended by delegates of different districts lecturers came across Jammu province.
At the onset of this convention the house extended warm welcome to Alok Kumar as administrative Secretary SED.
The delegates hailed the decision of the govt for assigning the charge of SED to Alok Kumar and said that they have high expectation from him as he had headed the department and took it to new heights.
The speakers deliberated over the current educational scenario and a threadbare discussion was made over the core issues including re-engagement of CRCs’ amendment of service recruitment rules, Assured Career Progression (ACP) and filling of all posts of +2 Principal.
The participants showed serious concern over the delaying approach of Education department in submitting the final proposal of amending Service Recruitment Rules and said that the file is dusting at administrative department for last three years even after seeking suggestions from stakeholders.
The delegates from different districts urged administrative secretary to consider the genuine and legitimate demand of creating vice principal post with financial up gradation in the form of at least two advance increments.
They strongly advocated the re engagement of CRCs on priority basis because thousands of posts of +2 lecturers are still vacant which causes academic loss of the students and said that engagement of CRCs has yielded very good result though they had been engaged very late but were able to compensate especially in the schools located in remote and far off areas.
The speakers urged Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Advisor Bhatnagar, Administrative Secretary Alok Kumar to initiate the process of engaging CRCs on priority basis.
Manjeet Chib, the president of the association briefed the purpose of organising this convention.
He said that this convention was organised to take feedback from delegates and seek the attention of the govt to address long pending issues of +2 cadre.
