JAMMU, June 24: Maintaining that Public Services Guarantee (PSG) and Right to Information (RTI) Acts are the achievements of the Omar led Coalition Government, senior National Conference leader and MLC Ajay Sadhotra said that people should come forward to get the benefit of these services.
Mr Sadhotra said this while addressing the public meetings at Khearian and Smailpur in Block Marh.
“Sensing that common public feels lot of difficulties and is exploited by the vested interests, Omar Abdullah made Public Services Guarantee Act by which ration card, PRC, SC or ST certificates, Revenue report, police report, income certificate, water and electricity connections, driving licence etc are issued within specific time as stipulated under this Act failing which the concerned officer is punished or fined”, he added.
Sadhotra stated that the Omar Abdullah Government is committed to give solace to common man by good governance.
Hundreds of BJP workers joined NC at Khearian. Prominent among those who joined NC included Suresh Kumar, Kamal Kumar, Bitu Ram, Niraj Kumar, Mohinder Pal, Mohan Lal, Ashwani Kumar and many others.
Hoping that the new entrants will strengthen the party at grass root level, Sadhotra cordially welcomed them.
The MLC also sanctioned one transformer and a road from main road to last village for the Smailpur people.
Prominent among those who spoke included Ashok Sharma, Subhash Sharma, Ch Sarwan Lal, Darshan Lal, Gurnam Singh, Raghbir Singh, Amrik Singh and many others.
