JAMMU, Apr 7: To strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and promote PM Narendra Modi’s vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and “Startup India” Parul University (PU) hosted a prestigious 5-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
The programme was organized by PU in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and was aimed to strengthen India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by equipping 10k educators and innovation managers with the knowledge and tools to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs, facilitate research commercialization and enhance institutional startup ecosystems.
The event was graced by M Nagarajan, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC), as the chief guest.
Esteemed speakers included Dr Ramanan Ramanathan, Chairperson of the National Expert Advisory Council, Department of Science and Technology and former Mission Director of Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Yogesh Brahmankar, Innovation Director at the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell.
Mitesh Vadher, Innovation Fellow at the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, Poyni Bhatt, Member of the National Entrepreneurship Advisory Committee, DST and Lt Gen Arun Ananthanarayan.
The program also featured insights from industry pioneers, including, Founders and CEOs of prominent organizations like Rohit Swarup of Futurz Xplored i297, Saurabh Jain of Fun2Do Labs and Ex-Vice President of Paytm, CA Swati Panchal, of Panchal S K & Associates and GenZCFO, Yash Tarwadi of Solnce Energy and Maulik Bhansali, of NetWeb Software and Vice Chairman of NASSCOM National SME Council.
Program Managers who shared their insights included Dhanush H B of the Wadhwani Foundation and Piyalee Chattopadhyay of TiE Global.
Tosha Shukla, head of Incubation at Navrachana Innovation Foundation, Navrachana University, Mihir Joshi, Venture Capitalist & Managing Director at Gujarat Venture Finance Limited, Jay Sudani, Prashant Khanna and Hutesh Baviskar of PIERC also shared their experiences and knowledge.
