The inauguration of new parks in the City of Temples is a good step, as these serve many purposes.
In wake of rapid urbanisation and rising cost of land, no land is available for people for recreational purposes. Parks are the only places where people can unburden themselves in this hectic life.
However, it may be said here that most of the parks in and around the city are in a deplorable condition as these are not maintained by any one-neither the Government agencies nor by the people living near these parks.
At some places, these have been converted into garbage dumping sites with cattle and dogs foraging for food here and there. If these parks are taken care of by the concerned people, these parks will provide great recreational purposes.
Need of the hour is to maintain them properly on every day basis.
