JAMMU, Dec 17: A Public Prosecutor is the representative of aspirations of public and has the role of an impartial person standing between the police and the defence.
This was stated by Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi, chief spokesperson of BJP J&K at a function here today organised by Elite Law Institute on successful conclusion of felicitation ceremony for outstanding achievers where the BJP leader was chief guest.
Sethi also said: “We’re following a negative criminal justice system because the system is not concerned to know who has committed the crime, rather the courts wants to know whether the investigation conducted by the police is right or wrong, as per the mandate of Law.”
The function was a momentous occasion dedicated to recognise and honour the exceptional achievements of Elite Law Institute’s outstanding students in various exams like Prosecuting Officer (2022-23), District Litigation Officers and Civil Judge.
The event brought together legal professionals, esteemed faculty members and the achievers for an evening of celebration and inspiration.
The guests of honour were Subash Gupta, retired District & Session Judge, Senior Advocate U.K Jalali, Former Advocate General J&K, Parveen Sharma, Chairman Citizen Cooperative Bank Ltd, Director S.R College, Dr. Gopal Parthasarthi—Educationist & General Secretary POF and Advocate Parimoksh Seth, BCCI Standing Counsel, J&K.
The guests delivered inspiring speeches, highlighting the importance of academic excellence and commitment to legal profession.
The guest of honour U.K Jalali said: “Being selected as the Prosecution Officer only marks the beginning of your journey and is not the end.”
