REASI, Jan 10: Water logging on the road because of big potholes and damaged drains has virtually turned Mahore main market area into bunch of puddles.
Because of water logging after rains, it becomes difficult for the people to walk on the market road .The road condition in Mahore main market is in such a bad condition that it seems the authorities never bothered to repair it since decades.
The bad condition of road is causing immense hardships to the commuters and pedestrians. It is dotted with potholes and bumps due to which the commuters face tremendous inconvenience, said the people. “Now after rains, these potholes get filled with water making the pedestrian movement extremely difficult,” they added.
A local transport agent, Javed from Mahore, said that the drains were also choked with the result water from the drains also flows towards the road.
Even as this is the main road leading to all tehsil offices, the concerned authorities seem least interested for repairing it. The locals appealed the administration to intervene into the matter and repair the road at the earliest.
