PULWAMA, Feb 2: Jammu and Kashmir police on intervening night of February 1 and 2 arrested two drug peddlers at a village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police party under station house officer Pulwama, Satish Kumar in a late night raid on Monday at Karimabad village arrested two drug peddlers and recovered scores of bottles of banned drug codeine from their possession.
The drug peddlers have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Bhat of Karimabad and Mohammad Isaq Malik of Ugargund villages.
A case has been registered against them under FIR No: 30/15 of NDPS 8/22 at police station Pulwama.
Police sources said that it was a gang of eight people that were selling banned drugs in the area and have started a manhunt for for six other people who are absconding.
