SRINAGAR, Aug 14: Government today accorded sanction to the award of Chief Minister’s Vigilance Medal for the year 2015 to KAS Officer Puneet Sharma and Mohinder Verma, Special Correspondent of Daily Excelsior.
“Sanction is accorded to the award of Chief Minister’s Vigilance Medal in favour of Puneet Sharma, Additional Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department and Mohinder Verma (Public Spirited Person) for displaying conspicuous and exemplary courage in exposing corruption and/ or creating awareness against corrupt practices for the year 2015”, reads the order issued by Gazzanfer Hussain, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.
Puneet Sharma has been selected in the Government Servants category and Mohinder Verma, Special Correspondent of Daily Excelsior in the category of Public Spirited Person.
The award carries medal, cash award of Rs 51,000 and a certificate.
