JAMMU, Apr 12: BJP J&K spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan has expressed his concern over the reports that some people are misbehaving with doctors, healthcare workers, police and  civic officials, who are engaged in responsibilities like tracing, tracking, screening and treating people for Corona Virus, ensuring sanitization and maintaining law and order.
In a statement issued here today he said such acts should be condemned by one and all as these incidents are no less than heinous crime against the humanity. “The ‘front line warriors’ are performing their duties putting their own lives at risk just for the welfare of their countrymen in this time of crisis but some irresponsible elements are hell bent to demoralize them by indulging in misbehaving, spitting, stoning etc’’, he added.
Terming these acts as shameful and heinous crime against humanity, Balbir Ram, said that all such people should be identified and given exemplary punishment so that no one can dare to indulge in such acts and the doctors, para medicos, sanitary workers, civil and police officials, can perform their duties fearlessly.
“All those who are taking law into their hands and creating obstacles in smooth performance of duties of ‘front line warriors’ are criminals and as such need to be given exemplary punishment to induce a sense of safety and security among the ‘warriors ‘and law abiding population,” Balbir said and added that there should be no leniency toward any criminal.
