Punishment for the Selection committee

Sir,
This is in reference to the news item titled “HC quashes selection, appointment of Dr Elias as Lecturer Surgery DE Nov 20.
I would like to bring to the notice of the public that a number of such cases are pending in the  High Court where ineligible candidates have been interviewed and selected for one post or the other by the various selection bodies like Service Selection Board, State Public Service Commission and it takes years for getting justice. It amounts to lot of harassment and the mental stress for the aggrieved candidate who has to spend his precious time and money to fight  for his right in the Court for years together to get the justice. Moreover, it also ruins the career of the ineligible candidate whose selection gets quashed after a long period.
There is an eligibility committee framed by the commission to sort out the eligibility of the candidates for a particular post and then send call for the interview. If we go into the root of the situation, who should be held responsible for all this mess? This is none else than the member heading the eligibility committee framed by the commission.
The tenure of a member in the PSC is for 5 years and by the time justice comes by the  court, the PSC member who had been responsible for creating such a mess by committing the blunder of making ineligible candidate to  participate in the interview process and make his selection possible, has already completed his tenure and is out of the PSC. Such culprits should be given exemplary punishment by the law so that such crimes are not repeated and the image of the Commission remains intact.
Yours etc…
