JAMMU, Oct 8: Punjabi Sahitak Sabha, RS Pura organized a ‘Sanman Samaroh’ in honour of well known poet Sewa Singh Sital at KL Saigal hall.
On the occasion, former Minister and chairman, MBS College of Engineering and Technology Rangil Singh was the chief guest, while Dr Arvinder Singh Aman, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages presided over the function. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, president, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha Jammu and Bhupinder Singh Bhargav, president, Punjabi Sahitak Sabha, RS Pura were also present.
President, Punjabi Sahitak Sabha, RS Pura Bhupinder Singh Bhargav presented the welcome address.
A shawl and citation was presented to Sewa Singh Sital for his contribution in literary field, while as Bachan Bharti read the citation.
Dr Janak Singh Kirti, threw light on the life and writings of Sewa Singh Sital, while Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik threw light on the literary journey of Sewa Singh Sital.
Dr Baljeet Raina conducted the proceedings, while KK Shakir presented vote of thanks.
