The memorandum said that Purmandal and Utterbehni being the historical religious places consisting of six Panchayats and 56 villages having a population of over 50,000 deserve the grant of tehsil status as the people of this secluded area face difficulties in reaching to Samba and Bari Brahmana for their work pertaining to revenue etc.
The memorandum said besides Purmandal being already a block, having various other offices so it is the fittest case for the grant of tehsil status.
The memorandum said that the people of the area feel disgusted as they have been let down by Cabinet Sub Committee while creating new administrative units in the State. It strongly advocated for grant of tehsil status to Purmandal.
