Purnima for increasing State share in Housing for All

JAMMU, Nov 23: Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, JMC chaired the “Housing for All” and “Skill Upgradation and Self Employment” Standing Committees meetings in the Conference Hall of JMC here, today.
Councilors Suneet Kumar, Surinder Sharma, Jagdish Kumar, Sharda Kumari, Narotam Sharma were present in the “Housing for All” Standing Committee meeting along with the officers of JMC and CEO, JUDA.
Adv. Purnima Sharma, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of “Housing for All’ while addressing the meeting proposed in the meeting that Housing Board should increase State share in “Housing for All” scheme from Rs. 16,666 to Rs. one lakh. The representatives from the Housing Board should visit each ward on fixed date and time. JMC should spare some of the amount from 14th Finance Commission for emergency relief to the needy persons.
During the meeting of the Standing Committee Sharda Kumari raised the issue that there are 104 cases of HFA in her Ward but most of the cases are done by the agents of Housing Board. Surinder Sharma raised the issue that notices should be given to those persons who construct the extra floors against their approved plan without taking permission from the competent authority. Jagdish Kumar raised the issue that list of beneficiaries under HFA scheme is not provided by JUDA/Housing Board.
Councilor Amit Gupta, Satpal Karlupia, Rahul Kumar and Jaideep were present in the Standing Committee meeting of Skill Upgradation and Self Employment along with CEO of JUDA and officers of JMC.
Purnima Sharma, for Skill Upgradation and Self Employment said the proposal should be prepared for constructing center/unit by manufacturing daily consumption materials like Duna Pattal, Agarbatti, Decoration materials etc. to replace single use plastic. The information about the products available at center/units should also be available on the JMC official website. JMC should initiate the process of opening computer centers ward wise so that the students who do not have computer facilities at their home can be benefited. The budget should be allocated for it. The members of the Standing Committee should be aware of the programmes started by JMC for Skill Upgradation and Self Employment, she added.
