JAMMU, Feb 2: Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, (JMC) kick started the development work in Ward No. 1 by laying the foundation stone for the tile work outside the Radha Krishna temple.
It was an old demand of the locals and the devotees as it was one of the oldest temple of the area. Taking this in account, efforts were made by the Deputy Mayor and tile work worth of 9.5 lakh was approved for the for the area.
Raj Khajuria, AEE, JMC, Gulshan, Sanitary Supervisor and his team of sanitation employees, Bhubaneswar Singh, Ward No. 1 president, Gopal Sanotra additional office secretary, Jammu East, Mandal BJP, Vijay Sharma, president Booth No. 2, Ward No. 1, Brij Singh Slathia, Raman Abrol, Virender Verma, Gopal Magotra, Suman Sharma, Kaushal Kumar, Vagish Sharma, Sudershan Sharma, Gaurav Sharma, Vishali Sharma, Vivek Sharma, Sumita Sharma and other prominent citizens of the area also accompanied the Deputy Mayor.
Speaking on the occasion, Purnima Sharma said that it was an old demand of the locals and the devotees who used to visit the temple. “With the blessings of the almighty we are starting the tile work for the welfare of the locals and the devotees,’’ she added.
She further informed that the development works were delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic and lockdowns but now everything is back on track and the development work in different wards have already been started and will soon be completed for the welfare of the general public.
