JAMMU, Aug 12: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma here today laid the foundation stone for Gyan Sadhna Yog Kendra near River Tawi.
Mahant Rajinder Nath of Peer Kho Temple; Parmodh Kapahi, District president BJP; Mahant Karan Nath, BJP workers and prominent people of the area were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Purnima said that the upcoming Gyan Sadhna Yog Kendra will facilitate the practice of Yoga and spiritual enrichment and it is estimated to be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 37 lakh.
She cited International Yoga Center at Mantalai and said that it was a testament to BJP’s unflinching support for preserving and sharing India’s ancient wisdom.
Mahant Rajinder Nath of ancient Peer Kho Temple lauded the initiative as a pivotal step towards fostering a sense of unity and cultural continuity.
He expressed his belief in the transformative power of Yoga, echoing the sentiments of many who foresee the Kendra as a beacon of hope and health for community.
Among those who were present on the occasion were Rajesh, Vikram, Satpal Rathore, Convener Internal Hindu Foundation and others.
